Basic Travel Requirements for Filipinos visiting South Korea
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a South Korean Visa.
- A copy of a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the trip to Korea.
- A copy of the passport bio page which shows the photo and passport details.
- Two passport-sized (35mm x 45mm) photographs.
- A completed South Korean visa application form
- If invited by a South Korean national, you must also provide an invitation letter and photocopy of your inviter’s passport or ID card.
- Original or certified true copy of bank statements/passbook for the last three (3) months.
- Photocopy of income tax return (ITR Form 2316).
- Original personal bank certificate. It must include account type, current balance, account opening date, and 6 months average balance.

- This visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to South Korea for business purposes.
- The applicant’s actual passport. The passport must be valid at least 6 months from the date the application is lodged.
- Your passport must have at least two blank visa pages for entry/exit stamp.
- Employment Authorisation or Residency Permit
- Two passport photographs with a white background.
- Business Introduction Letter should be provided.
- Certificate of Registration of Company (ROC)
- Letter of Invitation from the organization.
- A completed business visa application form.
- A clean criminal record track from the police is required.
- Proof of sufficient funds to backup travel.
- Medical insurance should be provided

South Korea Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to South Korea to study.
- Standard Acceptance Letter that is issued by the dean/president of the university.
- Photocopy of Business Registration Certificate of a respective education institution.
- A correctly filled study visa application form.
- A valid passport with a minimum of six months ahead of your stay in South Korea.
- Two copies of passport-sized (35mm x 45mm) photographs with a white background.
- Certificate of your educational qualification from previous schools.
- A clean criminal record from the police is required.
- Proof that you will leave South Korea at the end of your study.
- Medical certificate
- Sufficient funds to support stay in South Korea.
- Minors below the age of 18 should present a letter of approval from their parents/guardians.
South Korea Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to South Korea for tourism, visitation or sightseeing.
- Applicant’s actual passport. The passport must be valid at least 6 months from the date the application is lodged.
- If invited. An invitation letter from the host/organization is required.
- Two colored passport-sized (35mm x 45mm) photographs with a white background
- Passport must have at least two blank visa pages for entry/exit stamp.
- A clean criminal track record is required.
- You must submit your original Employment Pass, Blue IC, Work Permit or “PR” (must be valid for more than 6 months) along with a clear copy of it.
- Photograph(s)
- If employed, a letter from the applicant’s employer confirming employment.
- You must provide your last three month’s original bank statements, plus photocopies. Your current salary, full name, and bank account number must be visible on the bank statement.
- For a husband and wife traveling together, the Korean Embassy requires that you provide a marriage certificate. For a child traveling with parents, the Korean Embassy requires the birth certificate (Original and photocopy).
- You must provide a CIBTvisas South Korea Document Preparation Service to ensure your documentation is accurately prepared and correctly submitted according to consular requirements.
- One fully completed and signed tourist visa application form.
- A clear copy of the information page(s) from the applicant’s passport.
South Korea Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to South Korea to work in an organization in South Korea.
- A passport that is valid for at least a period of 6 months from the date of submission of the visa application
- A duly filled and signed work visa application form and the fees for the application.
- Two copies of passport-sized (35mm x 45mm) photographs.
- Original CCVI ( Certificate of Confirmation of Visa Issuance) application.
- Eduacational qualifications and curriculum vitae.
- A letter of employment signed by both the employer and employee.
- Payment of visa fee and air ticket.
